Get to know the family
Keith and Bonnie Laramee live in Lake Clear, NY where they raised two beautiful daughters. Now grandparents to five charming grandkids, they balance a busy work schedule with time chasing toddlers.

A multi-generational history of excellence
Keith Laramee started his career as an electrician as a young man working for his father, Ron Laramee. For years, the two worked side by side to keep lights on and heaters running throughout the Tri-Lakes under the name Saranac Lake Electric Co. While the Laramees can certainly be credited for bringing the business into the 21st century, they were not the original owners of the aptly named enterprise.
The history of Saranac Lake Electric Co. is almost as old as the Tri-Lakes itself. The company was started in 1894 by Orlando Blood, Wallace Murray, and Orville Morse who transformed an old sawmill and gristmill into a power plant with water wheels, generators, and strung wire. The business was sold just a year later, changing names and hands countless times over the years and boasting owners as famed as Paul Smiths himself before Ron Laramee adopted the name in 1966.
When Keith took over the business in 2020, he gave it a new name, but the legacy of excellence and innovation lives on.
